Packaging-free shopping should become easier and more convenient with the pike roll transport system. Through an extensive process analysis, difficulties could be identified and redesigned.
The lightweight and compact bags can be filled directly, as the empty weight is stitched on and does not have to be determined first. There is no need to transport heavy and rigid containers, allowing for more flexible shopping. The opening fits around the bags and allows for easy filling. To clean the bag can be shaken out or if more dirty, the cotton fabric can be washed by hand. The pike roll backpack can be used as a backpack and as a shopping bag.
