We want to solve problems, be practical, useful, efficient and functional. Destruction is nowhere to be found in the process. Because good work must prevent the destructive. But change requires creativity and often a destructive element.

Rearranging, changing the purpose, reassembling something destroyed, giving it a new classification or changing it externally are thereby strategies with the Sollbruchstück. The designs in porcelain and clay aim to bring about such fractures and to allow destruction. Through a planned material obsolescence and targeted repurposing, the destructive moment is to be provoked and the pleasure of destroying thus opens up spaces for ideas.
